Set in the center of the old town of the city Jalandhar, Bansal’s residence marks its importance by standing amidst the local architecture as a sign of change.
The architecture is clean , straight lines delicately meeting up one another, robust yet have a gravitas about it. The use of large overhangs and screens counteracts extreme climate conditions. Outside, a palette of serrated stone details, charred stone finish, and wood bring warmth and luxury, creating a stylish, contextually responsive new house.
The entrance to the house is welcomed by a courtyard, where the house speaks its visual integrity itself. The house planned in split sections where every section merges into one another without any visual block.
The double volume Courtyard ensures the reach of Natural Light reached all levels of house.
The house includes a double volume living area and open up to embrace the central courtyard of house and its integrity with dining and kitchen makes it more appropriate for family to enjoy togetherness. The glazed part of the staircase area gives a pleasing sensation of being in an open area while climbing up.
